Nuclear Medicine is the medical specialty within Diagnostic Imaging that involves the use of radioactive isotopes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases by administering a small amount of radioactive tracer into the body. Nuclear medicine evaluates both the anatomy and physiology of the body.
