Griggs Honored by Horry-Georgetown Technical College

Marion, SC - Tom Griggs, Senior Radiology Technician at Marion County Medical Center and Clinical Instructor at Horry-Georgetown Technical College, was recently presented with the Clinical Instructor Award at the HGTC 2007 graduation. Griggs, who was honored for his excellence in clinical performance for the third consecutive year, competed against clinical instructors from nine area hospitals. The Clinical Instructor Award is presented to individuals who have made significant contributions to the teaching of students in the clinical area. In addition to his hard work at Marion County Medical Center and instruction at HGTC, Griggs is also completing a Masters Degree in Business Administration.   “We congratulate Tom on receiving the Clinical Instructor Award for the third year in a row,” stated Marion Regional Healthcare System’s CEO, Gene Tucker.  “This is a special award designed to honor the instructor’s commitment to both their work and their students.  This type of dedication results in the highest quality of patient care.  It is an honor and a privilege for Tom and everyone here at Marion County Medical Center.”
