Marion Regional Healthcare System Announces New Board Members
Marion, SC--Marion Regional Healthcare System announces two new additions to its Board of Directors, Edward W. Whittington, Jr. and Sylvia H. Holmes.
Mr. Whittington, a graduate of the University of South Carolina where he also received his Juris Doctor, has been practicing law in Mullins for the past 35 years. He has also served on several other Boards of Directors such as Pee Dee Academy, the Davis National Bank and First National South. Mr. Whittington also maintains memberships to the Marion County Bar Association, the South Carolina Bar Association, the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association, the South Carolina Criminal Defense Association and serves on the Commission on Lawyer Conduct panel.
Ms. Holmes, the Chairperson of the English and Humanities Department at Florence-Darlington Technical College, received her Bachelor’s degree from Morris College and Master of Education degree from Francis Marion University. Ms. Holmes has served on the Marion County Transportation Committee, as president for Florence-Darlington Technical College Faculty-Senate, as Chairperson on the Marion School District Seven School Board, on the South Carolina Education Reform Council and currently serves on the District Advisory Committee for Marion School District Seven.
