Alice Caldwell Joins Aynor Medical Center as Family Nurse Practitioner

Aynor, SC--Marion Regional Healthcare System has announced the association of Alice D. Caldwell, RN, FNP-C, as Family Nurse Practice for the new Aynor Medical Center located at 51 11th Street in Aynor.

Caldwell, a native of Timmonsville, South Carolina, earned her Masters degree in Nursing at the University of South Carolina with a major in family nurse practitioner, and is certified in both family practice medicine and pediatrics. 

Most recently, she was associated with Griffin Family Practice in Lamar, South Carolina, a U.S. rural health designated practice and a division of Carolinas Medical Alliance. Here she was responsible for complete care ranging from newborns through geriatrics. She initiated well exams and preventative care and enrolled the office in the SC VAFAC program for immunization of children.  She has served as a preceptor for nurse practitioner students from Francis Marion University, the University of South Carolina, and the University of North Carolina, Wilmington.

Prior to joining Griffin Family Practice, Caldwell was associated with HealthPeak at Lake Norman in Davidson, NC where she held the position of head nurse; with Randolph Pediatric Associates as an office manager and pediatric teaching nurse, with Mecklenburg County Health Department in Charlotte, North Carolina as public health nurse and with Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, NC where she served as staff nurse in the intensive and coronary care units. In addition, she is a certified childbirth educator and an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Aynor Family Medicine, a division of Marion Regional Healthcare System, specializes in family and internal medicine and offers care in the areas of pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology, and select surgical specialties.

Equipped with radiology and lab capabilities, the facility allows real-time access to the technology and medical staff of Marion Regional Healthcare System. The nearly 6,000 square foot facility was designed to accommodate up to two physicians and a nurse practitioner.
