Nash To Be Among Speakers in Marion County

Marion, SC—Robert Nash, Deputy Manager and Advisor to Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, (D), New York, will be among the speakers at Marion County Medical Center’s Tenth Anniversary Celebration.

Nash, a long time advisor to former President Bill Clinton and the Vice Chairman of ShoreBank Corp, served as White House personnel director and Undersecretary for Agriculture in Rural America during the Clinton administration.  Nash will be attending on behalf of Senator Clinton, who was originally slated to speak at the event.  

According to Elista H. Smith, Vice President of Public Relations and Patient Services, “Senator Clinton was regretful to decline our invitation, however due to scheduling conflicts she will be unable to attend.  She does plan to visit our facility in the near future, as this has been on her agenda for some time.”

Other speakers include the Honorable James A. Battle, Jr., SC House of Representatives, District 57, and the Honorable Terry Alexander, SC House of Representatives, District 59.

The Anniversary Celebration is planned for Sunday, June 24 at 3:00 p.m. on the Hospital’s front lawn.  In the event of rain, the event will be held under tents. The event is free and open to the public.
