Jun Koike, M.D. Joins Marion County Medical Center OB/GYN
 
Marion, SC—Jun Koike, M.D. will join the Marion County Medical Center OB/GYN as of August 1 where he will be an OB/GYN. 
 
Dr. Koike previously was an Obstetrics and Gynecologic Resident Physician at the Charleston Area Medical Center’s Women and Children Hospital in Charleston, West Virginia where he was nominated for “The Best PGY2 Teaching Resident.”
 
Dr. Koike received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the Saint Mary’s University in Minnesota and received his Medical Degree from the Ross University of Medicine in Edison, New Jersey where he volunteered at the Nippon Clinic in New York. He holds numerous certifications including ACLS/BLS, USMLE I, II and III, and CSA.

Dr. Koike maintains several professional memberships including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Medical Association, the West Virginia Medical Society and the Kanawha Valley Medical Society. During his residency at the Charleston Area Medical Center, Dr. Koike presented on numerous topics including Chemotherapy, HELLP Syndrome, Spontaneous Fetal Bladder Rupture in Antepartum and Colon Cancer during late 2nd trimester pregnancy. Dr. Koike is also fluent in Japanese.
