Jenkins Named Director of Respiratory Therapy

Marion, SC – Marion County Medical Center has named Christy Jenkins Director of Respiratory Care.   As Director of Respiratory Care, she will manage the Respiratory Department, which provides therapeutic and diagnostic services to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders ranging in age from neonate to geriatric.  Previously Jenkins worked as a staff therapist for Marion County Medical Center, treating inpatients and outpatients suffering from cardiopulmonary disorders. Jenkins, a native of Marion County, has worked for Marion Regional Healthcare Systems since 1998.  She holds an Associates Degree in Respiratory Care from Florence Darlington Technical College and has completed several professional courses, receiving such titles as, Registered Respiratory Therapist from the National Board of Respiratory Care and Respiratory Care Practitioner from the South Carolina LLR.  Jenkins has also been recognized by Who’s Who of Respiratory Care Practitioners, an honor based on accomplishments, academic achievement, leadership and service.    According to Gene Tucker, CEO of Marion Regional Healthcare System, “I join the entire staff of Marion County Medical Center in congratulating Christy on her new position as Director of Respiratory Care.  Her expertise will prove to be a great advantage for this Department.”
