05/04/2007
Marion, SC—Mullins Nursing Center will be celebrating National Nursing Home Week May 13-19, with festivities for both residents and staff beginning Sunday, May 13th with the Celebration of Mothers and continuing throughout the week.

This celebration follows a recent DHEC Certification Survey, in which Mullins Nursing Center was commended for their excellent performance.  According to a representative, “Mullins Nursing Center is among the very best in South Carolina.”

“Nursing Home Week is a real treat for both the residents and staff.  All of the festivities are a lot of fun, and it really gives everyone a chance to mingle and have a good time.  We have an excellent staff whose goal is to provide exceptional care and focus on each patient’s individual needs.  This week is a way to honor them for all of their hard work and dedication,” said Mullins Nursing Center Director, Tonya Martin.

In 1967, The American Health Care Association established National Nursing Home Week to honor those who promote quality of care at nursing home facilities, including residents, family members, volunteers, community and staff.  The theme for this year’s National Nursing Home Week is Treasure Our Elders.   Other planned events include resident and staff Bingo, special meals and treats and other exciting festivities.
