Volunteering
In becoming a part of the Volunteer Program, you will join a team of people dedicated to high quality patient care. It is our belief that working together, as a team and sharing a common objective of excellent service has earned the Marion Regional Healthcare System the recognition of being one of the finest health care providers in South Carolina.
Employees and volunteers at Marion Regional Healthcare System are committed to providing services to patients in a caring, respectful way. The System honors the individual worth and dignity of each patient and other members of the family and supports the view that patients and families are necessary, active participants in their own health care. Everyone at Marion Regional Healthcare System, whether involved in direct patient care, administrative or technical services, remains mindful that each role affects patients and their families in direct and vital ways, no matter how remote from patient care these roles may appear. Anxieties and fears related to illness and separation from home may make hospitalization a particularly stressful event in the life of each patient. Employees and volunteers try to reflect concerns for the total well-being of the patients by remaining constantly alert to these stresses and by displaying sensitive attitudes and behavior. By choosing to volunteer at Marion Regional Healthcare System you are helping the System in its goal to meet the needs of all our patients and their families in an environment of care, understanding and compassion.
It is my pleasure to offer my most sincere thanks to you on behalf of the patients, their families, and the staff for the commitment you’ll be making today. Your experience at Marion Regional Healthcare System will be both gratifying and personally rewarding.
