Laboratory Services
The Marion County Medical Center laboratory offers a full range of laboratory services.
The laboratory’s role is to assist the physician with diagnosis and monitoring of medical conditions. The laboratory tests ordered by your physician help to make this diagnosis possible and treatment successful.
Accreditation
The laboratory is accredited by the Joint Commission and adheres to FDA, CLIA and other regulatory agency standards and practice guidelines. All laboratory services are under the authority of the laboratory director who is a board certified Pathologist.
Patients Served
The Laboratory offers comprehensive testing to patients of all ages and includes Inpatient care, Outpatient services, and Emergency services.
Hours of Operation
The laboratory operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for inpatient and emergency services. Outpatient hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday.
Departments and Services Provided
The laboratory has contractual association for pathology services and consultation. Other specialty reference labs are used when laboratory services require testing that is not performed at our facility. All reference laboratories have been approved by the Laboratory Director and the Medical Staff, and meet all regulatory statutes.
