CT
(Computerized Tomography)
CT is an imaging modality that utilizes ionizing radiation to obtain detailed images. Some patients may be required to drink oral contrast which allows the radiologist to view the stomach and bowel. Other studies may require IV contrast allowing the radiologist to view blood vessels and other organs. CT is also used to provide guidance for biopsies. Your physician or licensed staff will give you specific instructions on how to prepare for your exam.Hours of Operation
