Benefits of Cardiac Rehabilitation:
- Decrease Co-Morbidities and Health Risks
- Increase Functional Capacity
- Lower Cholesterol
- Effect Positive Lifestyle Change
- Enable Return to Work
- Improve Well-Being
Our staff is accustomed to seeing lives transformed. Many of our patients arrive on a walker, short of breath and suffering from depression after a heart attack, bypass surgery, or a diagnosis of hypertension or stable angina. Within weeks or months, many return to the regular rhythms of life - usually more conscious of its sweetness.
What to expect during Cardiac Rehab:
Monitored exercise and nutrition counseling. Educational sessions outlining risk factors, stress management, diabetes, weight control and smoking cessation.
Many of our "graduates" establish a routine of coming back three days a week for the hospital's Wellness Program. The supervised workout, they say, leaves them revitalized!
